What is the VET Biolog and CardioView?
VET BIOLOG II is a hand-held battery operated device.
The device is designed to:
- Acquire and store in memory 5 to 200 seconds of a single lead ECG via
direct thorax placement;
- Acquire and store in memory 5 to 200 seconds of a single lead ECG via
the single lead animal cable;
- Acquire and store in memory 5 to 80 seconds of rhythm strip followed
by a simultaneous 6 Lead or 12 Lead acquisition of 2.5 or 3.5 seconds per
lead using the 6 and 12 lead animal cable respectively.
The VET BIOLOG II incorporates the following features:
- Single lead ECG acquisition;
- Diagnostic quality isolated simultaneous 6 and 12 lead ECG acquisition;
- High definition LCD screen with backlighting for low
light conditions;
- Two heart rate ranges:
- Companion (30 - 400 bpm);
- Large Animal (20 - 60 bpm);
- Low (20 - 120 bpm) and high (50 - 400 bpm) heart rate alarms.
- Automatic Device Identification facility for management of
recordings;
- Battery status bar on screen;
- Infra-red linked companion printer interface with 25 and 50 mm/second
print speeds;
- Transtelephonic transfer of recordings.

This facility is called Automatic Device Identification or ADI in brief.
