If you are using the MS Internet-Explorer Versions 5.5 upward, make sure that the ActiveX Control feature is enabled. If required, select the medium security level or tweak the security level manually so that it can execute safe ActiveX Controls without abandoning required security features.

You can also use browsers that don't depend on ActiveX technology for Flash, such as Mozilla or Netscape (both use the same engine). These browsers can be installed on disk aside from the MS Internet Explorer (no need to uninstall).
