The Physiotherypy System PT 2000

The Functional Principle

The principle behind the PT 2000 is based Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) and Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS). Superficial and deep tissue electrical stimulation can lead to relaxation, pain control/analgesia. It can also speed healing of fractures and wounds, especially post-operatively and also helps to build muscle strength through selective contraction.

Release of encephalines and endorphines (analgesia)

Depending on the stimulation pattern chosen this form of physiotherapy provides

  • Long lasting muscle relaxation
  • Contraction of single muscles or muscle groups
  • Nerve stimulation
  • Improved tissue circulation
  • Release of encephalines and endorphines
  • Analgesia (according to the "Gate-Control-Theory")
